In the heart of the community

All Asda stores have an in-store Community Colleague who, along with other colleagues, decides which local charities and community projects to support.

Our Asda ‘In the Community’ programme involves a series of events such as:

• In-store blood donor sessions.
• Road safety events in the car park.
• Fire safety training.
• Customer and colleague health checks.
• Charity awareness days.

Healthy families

Helping customers keep their families healthy is important to us and many of our national initiatives support this aim. In 2008 we launched Asda Sporting Chance to give children access to free sports sessions during the holidays. We are working with over 3,000 partners who provide activities including football, swimming and gymnastics. We also sponsor the nationwide Kwik Cricket competition, the largest primary school outdoor sporting event in the UK.
